Is Your Life Unsatisfying

Some unbelievers seem to believe that God is not good enough for them. If God is not good enough for them, the good things in life that He supplies will not be good enough for them either and vice versa. If they will not acknowledge that God is good, many times they will not acknowledge that what He gives is good either.

Titus 1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Matthew 5:45b: . . . he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Many times Christians and unbelievers have the same problems in life, but have opposite attitudes. The attitude of unbelievers is controlled by the problems of life. The attitude of believers rises above the problems of life. Unbelievers are bitter and Christians are joyful, even though they have about the same difficulties. Life looks different to unbelievers and to Christians. The Christian says his cup is full and the unbeliever says that his cup is empty. The life of the Christian is more satisfying to him than the life of an unbeliever is to him. I know this because I have been on both sides of the issue. No believer that I have ever met has said that he wanted to go back to his old life. Heaven will be satisfying and Hell will not. Even if an unbeliever went to Heaven, he would not be satisfied there. The attitudes of believers and unbelievers in this life are samples of what their attitudes will be locked into in eternity.

Jeremiah 17:5-6: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Job 20:5, 17: That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? . . . 17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

If your life is unsatisfying, it is doubtful that you been born again by receiving Jesus.
